Early Education Career Institute Launches Nationwide ECE Workforce Initiative, Now Hiring Across 9 States

Columbia-based nonprofit expands apprenticeship model inspired by César Chávez's labor advocacy to address national childcare crisis

COLUMBIA, SC – September 1, 2025 – Early Education Career Institute (EECI), a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, today announced a major expansion of its workforce development initiative, now actively recruiting early childhood education professionals across nine states: Michigan, Montana, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Idaho, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New York, with additional states being added weekly.

Addressing the National ECE Labor Shortage

The announcement comes as childcare centers nationwide face unprecedented staffing challenges. EECI's innovative approach goes beyond traditional training programs by offering a comprehensive workforce solution that recruits, nurtures, and develops competent professionals through their federally registered apprenticeship model.

"We're not just filling positions – we're transforming how the early childhood education industry approaches workforce development," said Shawntel Green, Founder of EECI. "Our model, inspired by César Chávez's advocacy for fair wages and labor equality, ensures ECE workers earn while they learn and advance from $15,000 to $88,000 career potential."
